Achievements

The ‘House of Kala’ was founded in 2016 by Akhilesh Vadari with a goal to promote performing arts within the youth of the local community. He has been invited to choreograph and perform in several events and has won awards for choreography and performance.

2016

Dhoom Dhaam - 1st place in Indian Classical Dance in the Dhoom Dhaam event conducted by Washington Telangana Association WATG. Dance team consisted of Akhilesh Vadari and Kavya Selvakumar

2017

June 2017 - Arangetram (Debut dance recital) under the esteemed guidance of Guru Smt Vidyalakshmi Vinod.

Oct 2017 - House of Kala partnered with Care and Share and raised 13K for special needs children in Kerala. The event was a repeat of a solo ‘arangetram’ performance of Akhilesh Vadari and a few other dances by senior students of Nrityalaya School of Dance.

Kalinga Narthana Thillana - Choreographed under the guidance of Smt Tara Ramanan and performed in the Krishnan Vande Jagathgurum Mega dance drama conducted by Mana Samskruthi organization.

December 2017

2018

January 2018 - National Young Arts 2018 Winner and convention in Miami.

February 2018 - Participated in 20th APCC NYC featuring the beautiful country and culture of Korea.
