Nritya Tarang 2025 - Junior Group
Ananya Magesh, a rising eighth grader from Acton, MA, began learning Bharatanatyam at age six under the guidance of Acharya Smt. Aishwarya Balasubramanian. She completed her arangetram at the age of 11. Ananya has showcased her talent on prestigious stages, including the Cleveland Thyagaraja Aradhana festival. She has also won numerous dance competitions and performed in variousccultural organizations across NE. In January 2025, Ananya performed in Chennai for the Margazhi festival under Kartik Fine Arts. In addition to dance, Ananya also learns Carnatic music.
Reshma Jeyakumar, a 14-year-old incoming freshman at Sunset High School, has been a Bharatanatyam student for 10 years under the guidance of Guru Smt. Sivagami Vanka. She loves how the art form connects her with an audience through intricate hand gestures, movements, and facial expressions. In addition to dance, she enjoys playing piano and is actively involved in school activities like Track and Field, Cross Country, and Speech and Debate.
Inchara Shree, a rising freshman at Jesuit High School, has been a Bharatanatyam student for nine years under the guidance of Guru Smt. Sivagami Vanka. Aside from her love for all aspects of dance, Inchara also enjoys singing Carnatic music and creating art using various media like paint, pastels, and charcoal.
Stuti Atreya has been learning Bharathanatyam for seven years under the guidance of Smt. Sivagami Vanka at the Kalabharathi School of Dance in Portland, OR. Passionate about her art form, she also enjoys learning nattuvangam and Carnatic music, as well as playing the violin and fencing in her free time.
Pahal Daharwal, a rising sophomore at Westview High School in Portland, Oregon, has been devoted to the art of Bharatanatyam for the past nine years. She trains under the expert guidance of Smt. Sivagami Vanka at the Kalabharathi School of Dance, where she continues to refine her technique, expression, and passion for this classical art form.
Hassini Prabhuram is an upcoming 9th grader at the Beaverton Academy of Science and Engineering. She is currently training at the Kalabharati School of Dance in Portland, OR, with Guru, Smt. Sivagami Vanka. Hassini has had the opportunity to perform at the prestigious Carnegie Hall in New York. She has won 1st place with her group at Natya Idol 2025, a nation-wide dance competition and was among the top 5 finalists in Nritya Tarang 2024 and 2025. Beyond competitions, Hassini has performed at numerous cultural events across OR, WA.
