Bharatanatyam Video Submission Instructions:

Orientation: Landscape (horizontal)

Costume:

Full bharatanatyam costume or practice saree with light makeup and jewelry.

Content:

  1. Introduction (1 minute):

    • Introduce yourself with your full name.

    • Mention your Guru(s) name(s).

    • Briefly state the Bharatanatyam style (Bani) you practice.

  2. Details of the dance item (1 minute):
    Explain the details of the item you are dancing (Name, Ragam, Talam, Composer)

  3. Performance Video (5-10 minutes):
    Showcase your performance (consisting of both Nritta and Abhinaya) for 5-10 minutes.
    This can be a Keerthanam or part of a varnam. (For juniors who may not yet be exposed to abhinaya, it can be any dance item.)
    Important: The video can be a recording from previous events if taken within the last 6 months.

  4. Upload the video to youtube with ‘Unlisted’ privacy setting. This means only people with the link can view the video.

Notes:

  • Video can be recorded at home and recent performance video recorded after 1st January 2026 is also ok.

  • Ensure the video and audio quality are clear throughout the submission

  • Feel free to edit the video for transitions and smooth flow between sections.
